Frozen Meal Delivery in Southland: How Community Kai Meals Work

22 May 2026 · 5 min read

Good food shouldn't have to be hard work. Our Community Kai meals are real, home-style dinners - cooked fresh in our Invercargill kitchen, snap-frozen to lock in freshness, and delivered frozen to your door across Southland. Heat one up in minutes and you've got a proper feed without the prep, the shop or the dishes.

How It Works

  • We cook every meal fresh in our MPI-registered commercial kitchen using quality ingredients.
  • Meals are snap-frozen straight away, so they keep their flavour and nutrition with no preservatives needed.
  • We deliver them frozen to your door - pop them in the freezer, then heat one up whenever you need a quick, easy dinner.

Simple, Fair Pricing

Every meal is just $12, with a minimum order of 5 meals. Delivery is free when you order 7 or more (otherwise a $10 delivery fee applies). If you'd like meals on repeat, a weekly subscription saves you 10% and means dinner is sorted without having to think about it.

Who It Suits

Our meals are made for real Southland life. They suit busy families juggling work and after-school chaos, kaumātua who want a nourishing meal without the cooking, and workers who'd rather heat something good than reach for takeaways. They're also a thoughtful way to support someone going through a busy or tough patch.

WINZ Green Card Approved

Our meals are WINZ Green Card approved, which means eligible customers can use their card to help cover the cost. If you'd like to use your Green Card, just let us know when you order and we'll sort the rest.
